David is CEO at Active Humber and has held numerous positions across the sports development industry in both a paid and voluntary capacity. Whilst at University David looked at the linkages between sport and the environment when it was just an emerging discipline. David has worked from a local to an international level with bodies like the International Canoe Federation on environment, activity and water related matters. Passionate that we must act now and working towards the Humber region set to become the world’s first net-zero industrial cluster. David is working with the Local Economic Partnership, Health and other Humber partners on how to take the community along in that journey. An advocate that physical activity is not only the miracle cure for health but it is for the climate as well. Born In Canada, lives in Yorkshire and loves being active in the outdoors especially on the water.
